 Spirits & Electronic Phenomena

 by Demarus Harris

My late sister's best friend, Sheri, called me recently with a peculiar story and a question. "I was listening to your sister's favorite song," she said, "and it made reminisce, so I began to dance. The song went off; I sat down and reflected. 'Girl you know that used to be our song. We used to get down to that,'" she said to herself. "No sooner that I'd spoke the words... without any explanation, the song began to play again. Was that her?" Sheri asked in a hushed tone.

When spirits are near, do they actually have the ability to interfere with electronic equipment? I believe they do.

One mid-summer evening I drove to Columbia, Missouri to visit some friends who attended a local college. With graduation approaching they were concerned about the directions there lives would take. "Give us readings!" one of them suggested. I obliged. We seated ourselves around a small table. My seat happened to be next to a huge stereo speaker which was connected to an equally massive entertainment system. The power on this system was turned off. "First, I have to pray and then I'll call my spirit guide," I announced to my eager peers. No sooner than the prayer left my lips, I began to feel my guide. My body began to shift. My chest rose and fell deep and rhythmically. Surely, I looked like Oda May Brown, but something else was happening. The speaker that I was seated beside began to rumble, hiss and, spit fiery static. When I opened my eyes, I noticed the terrified looks on the faces of my friends. They had all cleared the table.

If these electronic phenomena can occur when spirit guides drop in beside a speaker, is it too much to believe that when your loved ones drop in to sit beside you on the couch that the adjacent lamp might flicker? Too much to believe that to get your undivided attention they might turn the TV off? Too far fetched to suppose that my late sister might drop in as her best friend was singing and dancing to their favorite song? I think not.

"Was that her?" Sheri asked me in a hushed tone. "Indeed it was," I responded. "She was saying, 'That song was ours, and it still is. Lets dance to it again girl!'"
